Robert Burnel, Bp. of Bath and Wells, writes to the Prior of Canterbury that William Burnel, constable of the king's castle at Dublin, has made "credenciam et mutuum" for ten marks to certain Canterbury monks sojourning in Ireland, who were delivered by the judge to the king's prison in Dublin Castle. The bishop begs the convent to repay the money. Dec. 17, (1275-1291).
