Letter of H. Walpole to R. Trevor, saying that the maritime forces of France and Spain could be disabled if they could be prevented from obtaining salt provisions from Ireland and fresh provisions from our northern colonies. Some endeavours are being made to stop that commerce from Ireland but it is difficult to accomplish. Oct. 3, 1740.
