The Queen and Council of the North to Sir W. Farefax and others, concerning the levy of 5 horsemen for service in Ireland, and money to be provided for each man, 10 shillings in his purse and 30 shillings at his embarking and a spear in Ireland or 4 shillings to buy it with. May 11, 1575.
