Letter of D. Norton to Sir R. Cecil inquiring by what warrant the two sums of £6,000 were to be issued. The £4,000 brought from Dublin was to be issued on the Lord President's (of Munster) warrant. The latter requires money for sea and land carriages, gifts to spies, etc. Sir J. Brooke and Sir A. Cooke have newly arrived with troops and horses. Cork March 24, 1599.
