Letters and papers, connected with the Vice Admiralty of Munster, held by Sir R. Southwell (1677-1701), E. Southwell (1701-30) and E. Southwell Jr. (1733-49). Letters are chiefly from Capt. J. Waller, Deputy Vice Admiral for Kinsale. Many deal with the Southwell estate in Kinsale, 1677-1749.
A collection of papers and letters relative to the town of Kinsale and to the connection of the Southwell family with that place, as well as to the office of deputy vice admiral of Munster, held by Sir Robert Southwell and his son the Rt. Hon. Edward Southwell, 1637-1778.
The rights and jurisdiction of the Lord High Admiral of England asserted in Ireland, by a process of the Postillion ketch, coming from France into Cork harbour, in 1693; laid before the Admiralty by Sir R. Southwell.
